Realize Plugin (Beta)

Bring Realize expertise and best practices into the AI assistant you already use.

Overview

The Realize Plugin brings the full power of Realize into the AI assistant you already use. It bundles two things in one install: the Realize MCP connection — so your assistant can work with your live Realize account — and built-in best practices and expertise — so it knows how to run Realize well. You work in plain language to report, troubleshoot, plan, and make changes, without opening the Realize dashboard.

Every action needs your approval — there's always a human in the loop.

Realize Plugin vs. Realize MCP Server connection

There are two ways to bring Realize into your AI assistant:

  • Realize MCP Server — the connection. It links your assistant to your Realize account for real-time campaign data and campaign management. On its own, it doesn't include Realize's best practices or expertise.

  • Realize Plugin — the complete setup (recommended). The MCP connection plus built-in best practices, expertise, and ready-to-go skills. Your assistant can manage campaigns and guide you with real knowledge of how Realize performs.

In short: the MCP server connects; the Realize Plugin connects and adds the know-how.

Installing the Plugin

  • On Claude — one-click (easiest, recommended). Install the Realize Plugin from Claude's plugin directory, then sign in with your normal Realize login. The MCP connection and the built-in expertise come together in a single step.

  • On ChatGPT, Gemini, and other AI assistants. The Realize Plugin works with any MCP-compatible assistant. One-click install isn't available on those yet, so for now setup is manual. Follow the steps in the Dev Center.

Before you begin

  • An AI assistant account (a free personal plan is enough to start)

  • A Realize account

What the Realize Plugin can do

The Realize Plugin starts with campaign management — helping you run and improve campaigns from within your AI assistant. It can:

  • Manage campaigns — list and review your campaigns, create new ones (you preview and confirm before anything goes live), edit fields like budget, bid, targeting, name, and dates, and pause or resume them.

  • Create and manage ads — create new native or display ads from an image link or an ad tag, and pause or resume existing ads.

  • Use your existing audiences — browse marketplace, custom, lookalike, and contextual audiences, and attach one to a new or live campaign.

  • Adjust bidding and budgets — set a bid strategy at campaign creation, fine-tune CPC or target CPA, set a bid cap, and change daily or monthly budget caps.

  • Block or unblock sites — block or unblock individual sites on a campaign.

  • Check conversion tracking — see whether your Taboola Pixel is installed and firing, and create, edit, or turn off conversion events, including attribution windows.

  • Pull reports — performance by campaign, content, site, and day, campaign history over time, and pre-launch reach estimates.

  • Explain and diagnose — surface performance trends, diagnose common problems, and recommend prioritized fixes grounded in Realize best practices.

Its guidance draws on your live Realize campaign data combined with Realize’s performance best practices, so it’s tied to your specific account. It works on one item at a time, and every change waits for your approval. New capabilities are added regularly.

What it doesn't do (yet)

The Plugin handles a focused set of tasks today. Other tasks that still need the Realize dashboard for now:

  • Installing the Taboola Pixel, setting up codeless conversions, and test-firing the pixel. If your conversions look wrong — for example, showing zero — check the Tracking Test Tool in Realize.

  • Deleting or duplicating campaigns, or changing many at once in a single step

  • Uploading an image file, auto-generating creative variations, or changing the image or headline on an ad that’s already running (you can still pause or resume it)

  • Creating new audiences from within the Plugin (coming soon); lookalike audiences are created in Realize

  • Managing brand-safety filters

  • Creating or changing automated Custom Rules

  • Seeing the reason a campaign was rejected (the Plugin can see whether it’s pending, running, or rejected, just not why)

Two things also stay with you by design: it won't act on its own (there's always a human in the loop), and its recommendations are guidance you choose whether to apply.

Good to know

  • Self-serve and opt-in. You choose to install and connect the Plugin — it's documented so you can set it up yourself, no account manager required.

  • You're in control, and you own what you set up. The Plugin prepares and suggests actions, but you approve every change, and the actions you apply are yours to own.

  • Make it yours. The Plugin is a starting point — you can adapt it and build your own workflows on top of it.

For setup steps and technical detail, see the Dev Center.
